The Animal Magic Realm contains Spells that deal with animals in all sorts of ways. Animal Spells let the caster sense, analyze or control animals, or lets him heal them or communicate with them, or enhance them in various ways, including enhanced health and fertility (what farmer doesn't want disease resistant and super-fertile cows?).

Shapechange Magic can also, if used in combination with Animal Magic, let the caster shapechange himself or willing targets into animal shapes and Forms, and if also combined with Curse Magic, unwilling targets can also be shapechanged into animals.

Because Sagatafl distinguishes between magic that can affect animals, and magic that can affect humanoids and other intelligent beings, thus subject must be dealt with in detail in the article Animals and magic. For instance, is a Chimpanzee an animal or a humanoid? What about Dolphins or Squid? Or an animal that has been magically uplifted to Human-level Intelligence, e.g. to serve as a Familiar?
